

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) helps newcomers to develop the English language skills necessary for integration into Canadian society. LINC classes represent an important stage in the settlement process and helps newcomers to move on to further education, meaningful employment and successful careers. LINC Literacy to Level 7 classes are offered in a friendly and supportive environment with experienced and professional teachers.

New Canadians’ Settlement and Integration Services (NCSIS)
New Canadians' Settlement and Integration Services provide newcomers with settlement and integration services to assist, support and promote their full and equitable participation in all aspects of social, cultural and economic inclusion into the Windsor-Essex community.

Enhanced Language Training (ELT)
Immigrants With Occupational Related Knowledge (IWORK)
Enhanced Language Training assists skilled immigrants to Canada (CLB 6-10) to acquire the necessary skills to enter and remain in employment commensurate with their skills and qualifications. The ELT program provides specialized language training and work placements targeting the following occupations: Administration, Customer Service, Entrepreneurs/Investors, Healthcare, Internationally Trained Professionals and Skilled Trades.

Immigrants With Occupational Related Knowledge is a bridge to work program designed to assist immigrants to Canada (CLB 2-5) develop necessary skills to enter the Canadian labour market. The IWORK program provides specialized language training and work placements targeting the following sectors, including but not limited to: retail industry, food service industry, hospitality and manufacturing.
Settlement Workers In Schools (SWIS)
Settlement Workers In Schools, in partnership with the Greater Essex County District School Board and the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, assist newcomer students and their families settle into their new schools and the community environment by providing information and referrals to other agencies, schools and community services.

Library Settlement Partnership (LSP)
Library Settlement Partnership, in partnership with Windsor Public Library, supports the settlement and integration of newcomers to Canada. LSP workers determine the clients’ needs and provide relevant information and referrals to community agencies, library resources and cultural interpretation.
